❖Happy Homemaker Monday *1* ❖

Happy New Year everyone!!
It's been over a year since I have posted on The Country Mumkin and I've missed it, but 2014 is here and I am back.  I am not sure how often I will manage to post and I am not going to beat myself up about not keeping to a schedule (new me for 2014!!)  I am hoping at the very least I will be able to post regular Happy Homemaker Mondays and to keep some sort of record of our daily life through 2014.  I am also going to add a record of our crafting antics this year with 'The Country Mumkin Makes'...... watch out for some patchwork and quilting this year as well as my ever strengthening crochet addiction :)
Thank you for popping by, please leave me a comment to let me know what is happening with you in 2014.
Have a great week xxxxxx

As I look outside my window:::
I can see some blue sky between the clouds.  It's very mild for this time of year.  The chicken and ducks in the garden are pecking at the fallen apples, we were going to finish collecting them during the holiday but decided to leave them for the animals.

Right now I am:::
All alone for the first time in over two weeks.  I am finishing taking down the Christmas decorations and trying to sort the house out after the holiday. *Sigh :(

Thinking and pondering:::
About what needs to be done in the house this year ~ painting, mending, tidying, organising ......

On my bedside table:::
My new "I love patchwork and quilting" magazine :)

On my tv tonight:::
Sherlock (recorded last night)
The 7:39  BBC1 tonight

Listening to:::
The television in the other room.
The heater whizzing round.
The washing machine coming to the end of it's cycle.

On the menu for this week:::
Monday - Beef Stroganoff.
Tuesday -
Sweet & Sour Pork (H is cooking!)
Wednesday -
Lentil Soup & Soda Bread
Thursday -
Turkey Risotto
Friday -
Macaroni Cheese
Saturday -
Fajitas
Sunday -
Roast Lamb.

On my to do list:::
Hoovering
Clean the windows
Put the Christmas decorations away

What I am sewing, crocheting or creating:::
Hats!!
My 'Christmas Granny Blanket' needs all its ends sewn in.

My simple pleasure:::

Peppermint tea in a glass mug

Lesson learned the past week:::
Don't put a sad smiley on Facebook because you make everyone worry!!

Looking around the house:::
It's a mess!!

From the webcam:::

Something to make you smile:::
M and W at breakfast this morning discussing how even if people in Engleand take the Christmas decorations down by 12th night, we could leave ours up because we are a bit French and the people in England wouldn't know anyway!!

I hope you all have a great week!

Today I am going to link up with other "Happy Homemakers" here at Diary of a stay at home Mom so please pop over if you want to see what others are up to this week all around the world. :o)
